In the broken public education sphere, how do educators find continued success? How do teachers not burn out and run away from this profession? Katie has the key! Katie Kinder, author of Untold Teaching Truths, has been an educator since 2006. She believes that life is fun, and learning should most definitely be fun. Hook your students, embed music, gamification, the family classroom, and relevant content. A teacher of the year, top five district finalist, OKC Rotary Teacher of the Month, and a top 100 educator in Oklahoma on Twitter, Katie has learned a trick or two in the classroom, so come on in, and have some fun, and hook your students from day one! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

  1. Love this story! Thank you so much for sharing and helping build up fellow teachers. Had Katie Kinder come to my school and completely built me up for the first day of school! Had her back for PD (twice) and it’s something new to learn every time! Teachers are forever learners and Katie Kinder is an amazing representation of a teachers forever growing “toolbox”. Thank you Katie Kinder and I look forward for next time.❤️❤️
